London Fashion Week A/W - Day 2

Julien Macdonald

Like a magpie, I was immediately drawn to this collection as I cannot resist anything that sparkles and glitters!

The designs were full of opulence, sophistication and undeniable glamour that one has come to expect from a Julian Macdonald show. The garments seemed were constructed from a sheer base and decadently decorated with an explosion of sequins, beads and feathers. These embellishments were used to form the main body of the designs, resulting in an edgy, striking and tantalising sexy collection.

I just wish I could afford to buy the whole collection!

David Koma

This collection can be best described as space ages meets feminine fetish. The designs have a futuristic feel and would not look out of place in a Hollywood movie set in outer space. The fetish element is created via the use of leather collars, zips and cuffs.

Although an abundance of leather was used to create these masterpieces, Koma’s use of soft curved lines, sheer fabric and peplums created a strong yet feminine feel.

Although the colour black dominated the catwalk red, beige and sky blue were also featured which kept the collection interesting.

There is not one single design that I do not love in this collection. The creativity that Koma has shown is eye catching, fresh, innovative and truly inspiring.
