London Fashion Week A/W - Day 4

Peter Pilotto
An explosion of colour was seen at the Peter Pilotto show and the catwalk was awash with red, yellow, green, blue, grey, black and white.
Bold lines were integrated with multi-dimensional graphic structured designs. Architectural shaping was applied to the shoulders of tops and dresses to create sharp 3 dimensional lines.
Sportswear was clearly influential in a number of the designs, where thick down was used to create a number of coats and loose fitting tops were fitted with elasticated necklines and cuffs.
This collection immediately caught my eye due to the bright colours and the unique designs.

Antonio Berardi
An autumnal palette was seen at Antonio Berardi where black, white, charcoal and grey were mixed with navy, beige, dark reds and greens.
The designs were linked through the use of various panels made from different fabrics and colours which gave the clothes a multi textural feel.
Fitted skirts and dress framed the models silhouette and tailored trouser suits were teamed with sheer tops and full length coats.
I really liked the built up layering and the use of pleats which created a multi-dimensional collection and also gave the clothes an edge.

Burberry Prorsum
The pallet at Burberry was a combination of black, white, navy, red, brown and beige. Trench coats feature heavily within the collection and were made from a vast array of fabrics and materials such as velvet with detailed rectangular sequins, animal print and transparent plastic.
The Pencil length skirts came in a wide range of material where leather skirts were paired with plastic tops, shirts or fine knitwear, sequined skirts with tea shirts buttoned to the neck.
Bold horizontal striped silk was used in dresses, shirts and trousers and I loved the use of different fabrics and textures that made up this collection.

Giles
The runway was littered with gold, white, black, brown, pink and beige
Armour clad models in latticed bodices and full length bellowing skirts and long gowns with high Victorian necklines and over exaggerated puffed sleeves adding an element of drama to the collection.
White shirts were worn with gold miniskirts with secondary ankle length strip layering and white shirt dresses provided the base for gold lattice t-shirts with knee length tresses.
I loved the high drama of this collection with is heightened by the use of colours, fabrics and textures used to create the designs.
