Last week the top fashion editors, models, Hollywood A listers and glitterati descended on Paris for the annual S/S Haute Couture fashion week in Paris.
An impressive and elaborate set design was constructed at Chanel which took the form of a circular room depicting an orangery. The centrepiece was a white garden constructed from cardboard which came to life and into bloom once the music begun.

Another impressive structure was seen at Dior. Mirrored ceiling and walls surrounded white scaffolding which created split level platforms, housed the audience and adjoined stairs to create a descending runway of dusky pink.

Here are my favourite collections from the week.
Armani Privé
What I found most appealing about this collection was the modern take on traditional Japanese features such as the obe beltsand wide legged tailored trousers seen below.
Atelier Versace
The bold colours, curved fluid lines and the beautifully feminine sheer panelling were my favourite elements to this collection.
Christian Dior
Probably the most talked about feature of this collection was the colourful thigh high painted leather boots. These complimented the garments and accentuated the playful nature of the collection. My favourite were the blue thigh high and the green ankle boots seen below.
Elie Saab
Beautiful gowns with exquisite detailing dominated the runway at Elie Saab. Chiffon, lace and feathers gracefully sashayed down the runway oozing glamour and will no doubt be seen on the red carpet this year.
Chanel
What I loved about this collection was the youthful feel from the cropped, short sleeved jackets, low waisted skirts, bows and button detailing down the back of some of the garments.
