The exhibition begins with a mannequins dressed in various incarnations of Gaultier's iconic Brenton stripes, sailor hats. Video projected faces brought the mannequins alive which smiled, spoke and sung to the visitors. There is also a mannequin wearing Gaultier's trademark kilt and striped jumper which welcomes visitors to the exhibition.
The next section displays garments from various haute couture collections.

One of the impressive features of this exhibition was the oval rotating
runway displaying 12 different outfits.
Gaultier was heavily influenced by London's street culture and the punk era of the 1970's. This inspired him to explore anti materialist and non-conformist fashion, experiment with kilts, leather, tartan, camouflage, recycled materials and rebellious designs.
The upper galleries display photographs, catwalk shows, music videos, clothing and costumes of all the collaborative projects Gaultier has worked on.
